An innovative stable in the Vichy area
Écurie des Charmettes supports thedevelopment and performance of show jumping horses.
Based in Vichy, Auvergne, with horses horses trained on 3 sites between Vichy and Riom, this family-run stable brings together a team of riders and renowned breeders, to prepare the horses that will accompany future riders and owners. These equines are carefully selected from the best French breeding farms, guaranteeing not only their origin but also the conditions in which the foals were raised.
A stable that draws its strength from the complementarity of a team of enthusiasts and experienced professionals (riders, trainers, vets, etc.), united around its manager Patrick Blethon. The latter has built a human environment based on very long-term relationships of trust with the professionals around it.
Recognized experts in developing the best bloodlines of future equine champions, but also fervent defenders of animal and human welfare.
A stable of champions
We have forged strong, privileged links with two stud farms, to support the development of the best racehorse origins and bloodlines, mainly from Normandy and Auvergne.
- Haras d’Elle, PIGNOLET family (50 – Moon sur Elle), one of France’s most emblematic saddle horse farms
- Le Haras des Ailes, LAPORTE family, equestrian center in the Vendée (63 – Riom)
We also act as a commercial and sporting intermediary for a number of French stud farms, entrusting us with the training of their horses or the development of their commercial strategy.
